My long-time involvement with the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) likely means … well, not much at all to you.

I’m a member in good standing of both the State Bar of New York and the State Bar of New Jersey. I’m also admitted in the Northern, Western, Eastern and Southern Federal District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts; the Federal District Court of New Jersey; The Second and Third Circuit Courts of Appeal; The Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and the Court of Military Appeals.  It’s good to know that the lawyer you meeting with is qualified to appear in court with you.

But what should be of critical importance is whether I can help you – if I’ve got the experience and knowledge to understand your situation and help you determine whether bankruptcy is a good move for you.

After practicing bankruptcy in Onondaga and Westchester County for many years I can confidently say that I’ve seen it all.  No situation is too new or too unique. I can give you straightforward and accurate advice about how your situation could improve using the bankruptcy laws.

Though your situation may not be unique, I am mindful of the fact that you are unlike anyone else who’s ever looked to me for help.

I’ve represented divorced and single people in Syracuse and White Plains, homeowners in Liverpool, people with medical bills in Manlius, and consumer overwhelmed by credit card debt in every town and city in between.  With unemployment and foreclosures in Onondaga and Westchester County at perilously high levels, I know you’re hurting.

The background and the experience to help.

My background in economics me analyze the benefits that different types of bankruptcy may give you.

I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Economics from Cornell University in 1982 and his Master of Arts Degree in Economics while also getting my law degree in two separate full time graduate programs simultaneously.  I’ve also spent approximately ten (10) years teaching Economics at the undergraduate and graduate levels in a number of colleges and universities.

I received my law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law in 1985, where upon graduation I was Awarded the Western New York Trial Lawyers Robert J. Connelly Award for Excellence in Trial Practice.

After law school I went to work as Assistant University Counsel at Cornell University until I joined the Marine Corps. As a Marine Corps Judge Advocate (JA), I served as a Legal Assistance Office and Special Assistant United States Attorney.  I also served as an Executive Officer of a Battalion and Aide to the Commanding General of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. My office won the American Bar Association Legal Aid Military Practice (“LAMP”) award before I left the Corps with an honorable discharge as a Captain.

Once I completed my duty to my country I went to work with an investment group that bought and sold companies out of bankruptcy.  My interest and desire to help people led me to begin practicing consumer bankruptcy law.

I value having the ability to give my clients certainty about their financial future.

Put my experience to work for you.
